A Lifelong Musical Journey... Samantha started playing baroque and renaissance music at age 4. She was performing on acoustic guitar and singing at coffee houses by age 12. Ms. Wolf has been a professional bassist since high school, and has been playing electric and upright bass for Musical Theater, Opera, Orchestras, Big Bands, Jazz, Blues and Rock bands. Samantha studied Classical Bass at Northwestern, U of I and Vienna, Austria. She studied the blues on Clark Street. Her driving style is the product of years of setting down the groove, pumpin out the rock and blues. She's played venues all over Chicago including opening for Sheep on Drugs at the Dome Room and the Metro; North Halsted street Fair, The Skokie Festival of Cultures, Harley Davidson store openings and Abate motorcycle events at the Abby Pub, Spring Fling and the Llamas Club with the Thunder Paw Band. In 2006-7, she played pop punk originals with the HeadSpins at GoJangle, the Orphanage and lots of block parties. Other bands that she performed with include Common Labor, the 409 Band with Paul Michaels and Harvey Mandel, Ricky and the Shifters, Switch, Strange Brew, The Wolf Band, No Shame, The Remarkables and the Crosscut Blues band with Paul C.
